Prehnite Cast After Glauberite
|
Collection |

Description |
A large and interesting crystal of Prehnite epimoprhs after Glauberite. The Prehnite formed over the Glauberite crystals, which then dissolved into empty casts. These exceptional forms are unique to this locality and highly desired, especially when in large and clear plates such as this one. Collected by Robert Batic; acquired from Alan Benson in 2013. Exhibited at the NY/NJ Gem & Mineral show in Edison N.J. in 2015. Collection and photo of Hershel Friedman. |
